FILLINGS: Fillings will be placed when small cavities are detected. Our office places only white, mercury-free fillings. This material is called composite resin and it chemically bonds to your tooth for a very esthetic result. Sometimes following a filling, it is common to experience some cold sensitivity. We use a desensitizing agent when we place fillings, but slight sensitivity can unfortunately still occur. This is normal and temporary as your tooth is “recovering from surgery”.
